Suburban Chicago man gets 10 years for DUI

ST. CHARLES Elias Sanchez was sentenced on Friday. He pleaded guilty to the latest charge last month.

Police say they found Sanchez slumped inside his idling vehicle with a bottle of rum between his knees on December 18th. A breath test later determined the 42-year-old Sanchez's blood-alcohol level was .267, more than three times the legal limit.

Sanchez has been held in the Kane County Jail since his arrest. Authorities say he'll get credit for 242 days served.

Authorities say Sanchez had seven prior DUI violations, resulting in six convictions and one term of supervision.
