11th Annual Angels with Tails Armitage Avenue Event

PAWS Chicago, the city's largest No Kill humane organization, along with a record number of stores, boutiques, and shelters, will team up again this year to bring the faces of Chicago's homeless animals to Armitage and Halsted Avenue.

The Eleventh Annual Angels with Tails Walking Tour is a day of fun for the entire family! Come press your nose against storefront windows and experience the joy a pet can bring to your life. Hundreds of homeless pets will be available for adoption.

PAWS Chicago (Pets Are Worth Saving) is the city's largest No Kill humane organization, focused on alleviating Chicago's tragic pet homelessness problem. Since PAWS Chicago's founding, the number of homeless pets killed in the city has been reduced by more than half -- from 42,561 pets killed in 1997 to 19,701 in 2006. PAWS Chicago envisions a No Kill Chicago and that dream is within reach because of important lifesaving work that is being done every single day.

PAWS Chicago created the Angels with Tails Walking Tour to raise awareness for the plight of Chicago's homeless pets. Working toward this goal, PAWS Chicago looks to the community for support in providing Chicago's homeless pets with the homes they deserve.

The 11th Annual Angels with Tails Armitage Avenue event will be held at Lincoln Park storefronts and windows along Armitage and Halsted Avenue Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m.
