September 7, 2008: Chicago's Authors

September 11, 2008 9:39:26 AM PDT
We talked with two very distinguished Chicago authors whose recent books reflect their passion for their life's work. Dr. Nicholas Dunkas has translated "The Works of Hippocrates" into English at a time when we have been witnessing changes in medicine and health care which have profoundly affected how the physician views himself and his work. We spoke with Dr. Dunkas about the traditional ethnical values established in ancient times when Hippocrates wrote what is now the Oath of Hippocrates which physicians the world over take. We spoke with the Rev. Mark Anthony Lord about his new book "The Seven Living Words." Rev. Lord is the Founder and Spiritual Director of the Center for Spiritual Living in Chicago. He uses humor, current events and personal examples to offer fresh perspectives on sacred wisdomteachings for all. For more information visit www.chicagocsl.org.
