Here in the Chicago area, Arlington Park is encouraging women to wear their most stylish hat at Ladies Day on Saturday, September 6. Besides having an opportunity to sport their fashionable hats, women, who visit the track tomorrow, will be treated to an afternoon of spa treatments and special giveaways.
Women wearing fashion hats will receive admission to Arlington Park for $3. They also can enter a special contest judged by Melissa McGurren of the Eric & Kathy Mornings show. In addition, at the base of the Grand Staircase there will be complimentary spa treatments from Spa Martinique. There will be free massages, hair/makeup consolations, nails consultations and skin analysis from 11:15 am until the end of racing. Elaine Berger of Chapeau Creations of Skokie www.chapeaucreations.com will be selling fashion hats from 11:15am until the end of racing at the Grand Staircase.
Ladies will also be in the spotlight on the racetrack. A full day of fillies' racing will be highlighted by a pair of graded stakes races: the Grade III $200,000 Pucker Up Stakes and the Grade III $150,000 Arlington-Washington Lassie.
