Suspicious fire destroys two Chicago buildings

CHICAGO That extra-alarm fire destroyed two buildings near 94th and South Cottage Grove Sunday night. One of the buildings was vacant.

Fire department officials say the fire started on three separate floors in that vacant building, which was boarded up. The fire then spread to a neighboring building that housed a grocery store.

Because of the extensive fire damage both buildings will have to be torn down.

No one was hurt in the fire.
