Train engineer puts out small track fire

Service on the CTA Blue Line was disrupted for a short time Monday morning because of a fire on the tracks. Trash apparently ignited on the tracks in the subway stations at Dearborn and Randolph. The train engineer extinguished the small fire, although the fire department was called to the scene.

No one was injured.

The subway tunnel and all the trains are running again.
