SAUK VILLAGE, Ill. --
Bail was set at $2.5 million Wednesday for the man accused of murdering a far south suburban honor student. Eighteen-year-old Timothy Easley is being charged with murdering and sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend, 15-year-old Brashai Griffin.
Griffin's partially clothed body was found face down in a creek in Sauk Village back in April. Investigators determined she had been strangled.
Griffin was a sophomore at Bloom Trail High School in Steger.
Easley is due in court again September 30.
