Overweight patients less receptive to chemo

A new study involved 1,100 patients who were treated between 1990 and 2004.

The participants in the overweight and obese categories had a reduced likelihood of a complete response with chemotherapy.

Obese patients were also at greater risk for hormone-negative, stage three tumors and had worse overall survival four years later.
