NEW HAVEN, Ind. --It took several people and some heavy-duty equipment to rescue a cow that fell in a river in northeast Indiana. The cow was discovered in the Maumee River Monday afternoon near New Haven, just east of Fort Wayne.
Rescuers put a rope around the cow and used a tractor to pull her to safety.
Getting the cow out was difficult because the riverbank was wet and slippery.
The cow is now back home safe at a nearby farm.
