Streets turn into parks for 'Sunday Parkways'

CHICAGO Sunday Parkways runs along Chicago's historic and beautiful boulevard system. It will connect Logan Square, Humboldt Park, Garfield Park, North Lawndale and Little Village neighborhoods, displaying the vibrant culture of Chicago's communities along the way.

This is a first-ever event in Chicago. You can dance, play and exercise at activity stations throughout the morning.

Car traffic will be closed along a linear route from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on these days for you and your family to explore Chicago's beautiful neighborhoods in fun and active ways. Some cross streets will remain open to car traffic so Sunday Parkways does not affect the surrounding street network or traffic flow.

Lead organizations from these neighborhoods have been working with the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation and the City to make the event a reality.
