Park Ridge shelter opening delayed

CHICAGO It's opening has been delayed by controversy.

A group of 12 churches had originally proposed a Park Ridge site as the 19th location for a series of shelters in the northwest suburbs. Some neighbors objected. So, the proposed site was moved to a local church.

Sunday would have been its opening night, but it was delayed by objections from parent's groups.

Monday night, the city council is expected to vote on issues involving the planned shelter.
