South Side mosque rededicated Sunday

CHICAGO The domed building in the 7300 block of South Stony Island was once a Greek Orthodox church, but it later became the Nation of Islam's headquarters.

People traveled from around the country to attended the rededication. Farrakhan says the mosque has been fully restored and represents a new beginning.

Sunday, he urged people to help others and care for those in need.

" Let us go forth, determined to be better tomorrow than we are today," Farrakhan said.

Sunday's speech also wrapped up a week of events commemorating the 13th anniversary of the Million Man March.
