Scholarship named for slain NIU student

The parents of a student killed at Northern Illinois University have established a scholarship fund in her memory.Ryanne Mace was one of five students killed in a Valentine's Day shooting inside an NIU classroom. Now her parents, Eric and Mary Kay Mace of Carpentersville, have started a scholarship fund that will provide $1,000 each year to an incoming graduate student who is studying psychology.

The Maces wanted to do this so their daughter would quote 'have her name out there forever.'
