Bond set for 5 in sex assault

Bond was set Monday for five men charged with sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl at a suburban motel. Prosecutors say the girl and a friend were attending a party held by the men at the Motel 6 in Elk Grove Village Saturday night.

According to court records, the girl's friend left the hotel room, and the men began serving her alcohol. Four of the men then allegedly held her down, while one man had sex with her. The girl screamed and was eventually released.

Police say five men have been charged with criminal sexual assault.

They are 19-year-old Edgar Barboza of Carpentersville, 19-year-old Edgar Loeza of Mount Prospect, 21-year-old Jose Loeza of Mount Prospect, 19-year-old Uriel Sanchez of Mount Prospect and 18-year-old Ruben Sanchez of Mount Prospect.

On Monday, a judge set bond at $100,000 each.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for November 21.
