Obama spends morning at home as Chicago celebrates

CHICAGO And he told reporters Wednesday he didn't get as much sleep as he would have liked after the massive celebration Tuesday night in the city's Grant Park.

In downtown Chicago, a series of banners waves around City Hall congratulating Obama.

Obama planned to stay home at least through the weekend, spending more time with his family and turning to the business of the transition in earnest.

He began the day with the simple pleasure of having breakfast with his daughters, 10-year-old Malia and 7-year-old Sasha, just before the girls left for school.
