Michelle Obama focuses on first family's transition

CHICAG0 While President-elect Barack Obama is putting together his White House team, Michelle Obama is focusing on making a smooth transition for their daughters, Sasha and Malia. She has sought guidance from Senator Hillary Clinton and Tipper Gore on how to protect them.

First lady Laura Bush called Michelle on Wednesday to assure her that the White House is a wonderful place to raise children.

"What a gift to grow up in the White house to see world leaders, to understand how the country is shaped. What a symbol that it will show to so many young boys and girls out there particularly children of color," said Michelle Obama.

Michelle is already looking at private schools for the girls to begin attending in January.
