Technodad Mike Ferrara (aka the Lazy Homeowner) shares some tips and gadgets that will help save money on your energy bills. Unplug your appliances
Figure out which of your appliances are energy hogs. A kilowatt meter will tell you how much energy each appliance uses. TVs, computers, cell phones can still draw energy even when it's turned off costing households some $100 a year.

Cut Incandescent Dependency
Replace incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs. Fluorescent lighting can save you between $50 and $150 dollars a year.

Slash Water bills
Consider using a low-flow faucet and/or shower head. Kohler makes one that helps you use 30% less water and saves on heating the water

Consider "Low E" Glass Windows
"Low E" windows or "low admittance" windows help stop the loss of heat from your home
