Metra trains back on schedule after signal issue

CHICAGO The issue affected the four trains lines with about 20 trains in all. A computer problem in Nebraska meant Metra had to handle the train switching manually.

The problem was fixed about 8:30 Thursday night and Metra said it does not expect any problems for the Friday morning commute.

Both inbound trains traveling into Ogilvie Transportation Center, and outbound trains traveling to Harvard, Elburn and Kenosha incurred major delays and were at a standstill for awhile.
