Chicago police are on the lookout for an armed robbery suspect on the city's Far South Side. Detectives have issued a business alert for a man seen on surveillance pictures robbing convenience stores in an area from 103rd to 111th streets between Western and Trumbull avenues. The robberies took place between September 23 and November 5.

Businesses in the area are being asked to make sure their surveillance equipment is working and, in the event of a crime, to save tapes and photos for police to use in their investigation.

The offender is described as a white man, between 5' 7" and 5' 9" and is thought to be between 45 and 55 years old.

He may be wearing an oversized black hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap.

The man seen in the photos is also a suspect in a bank robbery, according to police.
