Man charged in daughter's murder may be granted bond

Thirty-eight-year-old Jerry Hobbs has been held in the Lake County Jail without bond since May of 2005.

Hobbs was arrested in connection with the murders of his 8-year-old daughter Laura and her friend, 9- year-old Krystal Tobias. Their bodies were found in a Zion park.

Hobbs admitted to the murders after his arrest but has since recanted.

Last year, defense attorneys learned of evidence of another man's DNA at the scene.

In two weeks, a judge will decide whether or not to set bond.
