More than 150 firefighters battled a fire that ripped through three buildings on the city's South Side Thursday morning. Crews could do little to save the building along South Commerical and 87th Street where the fire began. It crumbled into a pile of debris of smoke.
The building housed a currency exchange at street level.
With the first building destroyed, firefighters focused on saving the neighboring two buildings and stopping the flames from spreading further.
No one was hurt in the fire. An investigation is underway into how it started.
