Police say the chase ended in Darien Wednesday night when the suspect's car hit an SUV and that vehicle hit another car.
In all, five people, including the suspect, were injured.
The suspect's father had been stabbed minutes earlier in his driveway.
After the crash, one car ended up on its side. Another car slammed into a tree.
Paramedics rushed four of the victims to the hospital while they treated the fifth victim at the scene.
A witness says he saw a police car behind one of the cars just before the crash.
