Forget the challenge of cooking, just coming up with money to buy food for a feast is a struggle for many Americans this Thanksgiving. Still, thousands of Chicago area families will enjoy a hot meal thanks to the generosity of a Lake County couple.

John and Bobbi Sfire opened the Faith Food Pantry in Zion 10 years ago. This year, their family is helping more people than ever.

"We just feel like we want to give something back to the community. It's pretty simple. God has blessed our life, and my son's in there, my daughter's in there, our grandchildren work here. So , it's really become a family affair for us," John Sfire said.

What seems like an army of volunteers helps run the food pantry, including 250 seniors from Zion Benton High School.
