Flight returns to O'Hare with mechanical problem

CHICAGO The plane had just left the airport late Monday night when the mechanical problems were discovered.

The flight turned back to O'Hare and was able to land safely, but the craft did not touch down on all of its wheels.

No one was hurt. The passengers were put on another flight to South Bend.

United spokeswoman Megan McCarthy says Mesa Airlines was operating Flight 7164, which carried 28 people when it landed safely.
