No injuries in Riverside bank robbery

RIVERSIDE, Ill. A taxi driver called 911 around 9:30 a.m. after seeing bank customers on the floor of the Bank of America branch at 3300 Harlem Avenue.

Police and FBI agents surrounded the building for about two hours because it was unclear if the gunmen were still inside. A SWAT team entered the building and determined the robbers got away.

The situation delayed several trains on a nearby Metra line and an elementary school in the area was placed on lockdown.

The five bank employees and two customers were unharmed.
