The journey came full circle Saturday as Garrison received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
'Swan House' recipient graduates from college
Graduation ceremonies were held at St. Xavier University, and one of the graduates was Lynda Garrison. In October 2007, she won the "Swan House," a home in south suburban Riverdale that Chris Swan and ABC7's Jim Rose helped build. The idea behind the program was to build a home for a single mother pursuing her college education.
