Sony fights annoying 'clam shell' packaging

It's that annoying plastic that surrounds just about everything electronic. Sony is running a "fight the clamshell" video on the YouTube web site showing some extreme cases of clamshell shock.

The Consumer Products Safety Commission reports clamshells have caused more than 25,000 injuries since 2004.

The commission says people are injuring themselves trying to open the containers.

Amazon, Microsoft and Best Buy say they will also stop using clamshells.
