It's the biggest party night of the year and ABC 7 viewers once again had front row seats to all the excitement and hoopla that are part of this city's New Year's Eve tradition. Davies and Giangreco took viewers to a magical party that was sheer elegance at Trump Tower's hot, new "Sixteen" restaurant--capturing one of the most breathtaking vistas in Chicago.
Doug Banks and Michelle Alegria were betting on a good time at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana. Appearing in the casino's new, state-of-the-art performance showplace, The Venue," was funnyman "Cedric the Entertainer."
Live from the legendary Metro, alternative rockers The Dandy Warhols kept the party going well into 2009, while the Latin music sensation, Chicago's own Bandoleros, made sure no one left the dance floor at The Club in suburban Burbank, Illinois. Also featured was a performance by the riveting Blue Man Group.
COUTDOWN CHICAGO 2009 also takes a final look back at 2008 to see what happened on the sports, entertainment, restaurant and weather scenes in the Windy City.
