Army reservists greeted with warm welcome

The soldiers were members of an aviation brigade that spent the past year in Iraq and Afghanistan, supporting military intelligence operations.

They were thanked for their service Sunday in front of family and friends.

" They sure didn't do it for the money. They didn't do it for the GI bill. They did it because it was the right thing to do, and it was their turn," said John Gallagher of the U.S. Army Reserve.

The soldiers received American flags and honorary Army Reserve coins from the commander of military intelligence readiness at the close of the ceremony.
