Shots fired at Chicago school bus; 3 students hurt

January 14, 2009 (CHICAGO) It happened around 11 Wednesday morning near Cermak and Wolcott.

The children are students at Perspectives Charter School. They were returning from a field trip when a bullet shattered a rear window.

The bullet did not hit any students.

Three suffered minor injuries.

Police say the bus was not the intended target. Witnesses report there was an argument nearby that escalated into gunfire.

Police are searching for suspects.
