January 24, 2009 (FRANKFORT, Ill.) --
Will County authorities have arrested a male acquaintance of a woman whose body was found in the trunk of a vehicle near Frankfort.Authorities say they suspect the man, identified as Brian Trainauskas, shot 36-year-old Monica Timar, then placed her body in the trunk of a car. The 33-year-old man is in custody after a judge ruled Saturday there was probable cause to hold him. Prosecutors say they plan to file charges Monday.
Timar's brother and a friend reported her missing Thursday.
Pat Barry is a spokesman for the Will County sheriff's department. He says the suspect and Timar were acquaintances and evidence suggests the death occurred in the suspect's residence.
Authorities say a motive isn't clear. Timar's body was found Friday morning in a vehicle abandoned on the side of the road in unincorporated Frankfort Township.
