A rededication ceremony was held Saturday at the Palmer House Hilton, the longest continuously operating hotel in North America. The hotel has completed a two-year renovation.The project cost $170 million, and the renovations include a new grand lobby.
The Palmer House Hilton features a variety of elaborate artwork, including 21 paintings on the ceilings and bronze statues.
The hotel's 1,000 rooms were remodeled, and 54 suites were created.
The Palmer House, which is a national landmark, opened in 1873.
