A Chicago high school basketball coach made state history on Tuesday night. That's a victory for Marshall Metropolitan High School on the city's West Side. The girls' basketball team defeated North Lawndale Tuesday night. And they gave legendary coach Dorothy Gaters her 900th win.

Gaters says her career has been both fun and rewarding.

"I enjoy what I'm doing. I don't know how long I'm going to keep coaching. But it's been a wonderful, wonderful experience. How many people have the opportunity to do something that they truly love doing?" said Gaters.

Gaters also gave the young players on her team credit for all their hard work. She has been coaching since 1975.
