College students hold gun rights rally

February 19, 2009 (CHICAGO) Their organization is called Depaul Students For Concealed Carry On Campus.

Organizers want to help students get a Firearm Owner's Identification Card. They say it's time Illinois passes legislation which allows citizens to protect themselves.

The organization claims there were 40 assaults and nearly 900 violent crimes in DePaul's police district last year.

Students For Concealed Carry On Campus was founded in 2007 following the Virginia Tech massacre, where a gunman shot and killed 32 students before taking his own life.
