February 18, 2009 (CHICAGO) --Gospel Singer CeCe Winans was in Chicago Tuesday night lending her voice to a worthy cause. She sang at a fundraiser dinner at the Hyatt Regency. The event was held to raise money for a memorial dedicated to Martin Luther King Junior.
The King memorial, which is to be built in Washington, DC, was supposed to be completed last year but is now on hold.
So far, about $104 million have been raised for the $120 million project.
