The police department is not commenting on reports she may used an off-duty police sergeant's gun.
But a police source told ABC7 the woman invited a sergeant to her home hours after he responded to an earlier call of a domestic dispute involving the woman and an ex-boyfriend at a different location.
The source says the sergeant left his gun in the living room of the woman's home while he went to the bathroom and the woman used it to kill herself.
