No link between chemical, breast cancer

The chemical acrylamide gained notoriety several years ago when researchers discovered that the suspected human carcinogen is found in popular snacks such as French fries and potato chips. Acrylamide appears to form when certain carbohydrate rich foods are heated to high temperatures through frying baking or broiling and some research had made a breast cancer link.

But this latest study in the American Journal of Epidemiology found no connection, at least not at the low intake levels in the study.
