February 27, 2009 --Jumping into Lake Michigan is the last thing most of us want in the middle of winter. But not some brave souls. More than two dozen people from around Illinois are taking a plunge into the lake to raise money for Special Olympics.
Every hour until 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon the group will take a dip.
Friday night's super plunge in Evanston kicks off a series of similar frigid fundraisers across the state.
