Visitation held for Chicago's Norm Van Lier

March 1, 2009 (CHICAGO) The visitation took place at a funeral home on the city's near West Side.

Van Lier was found dead Thursday. He was 61 years old.

The Chicago sports icon was a three-time All-Star and a backcourt mainstay for the Bulls in the 1970's. He spent seven of his 10 NBA years with the Bulls and retired in 1979.

Van Lier had been a full-time television sports analyst since 1992.

Funeral services were set for Monday morning at the Fourth Presbyterian Church.
