Suspect wanted in bank robberies

March 3, 2009 (CHICAGO) Officials believe the same man is tied to at least five Chicago area bank robberies. The Metropolitan Bank in the 4800-block of West 24th Place was robbed twice last month. Other thefts occurred at banks on the city's South and West side dating back to December.

Witnesses say the suspect seen in these surveillance photos used a note and ordered the teller to place money in a brown paper lunch bag.

Dubbed the "lunch bag bandit," he is described as a Hispanic male, 25-to-30 years old, about 5'7" tall, stocky build with a goatee.
