Police search for suburban bank robbers

March 10, 2009 A fifth Third Bank branch on Ridgeland Avenue in Naperville was hit on Monday afternoon around 4 p.m.

Bank surveillance pictures show a man between 40 and 50 years old standing at a teller counter. Authorities say he implied he had a gun but never displayed a weapon.

Investigators say the man did get away with two packets of bills from the teller's drawer.

And in Cicero the search is on for a bandit who held up the first bank on Cermak Road Friday afternoon.

Police say he also implied he had a weapon but never showed one. The suspect ran off with an undisclosed amount of money.
