Police say they were called to the 3500 block of West 65th Street early Sunday morning for reports of shots fired. They say when they arrived, they saw Gonzalez holding a handgun.
He allegedly fled on foot. The officers say they followed him and ordered him to drop the gun. They say Gonzalez turned and fired four shots. Police say they fired back.
No one was hurt and Gonzalez was taken into custody.
