We created Kidwinks.com because as parents, we wanted a resource like this but none existed. Our vision is for this site to be a "one-stop shop" for busy parents, freeing them to spend more time with their children, rather than spending time researching the various activities and events offered throughout the area. We thought that other parents would find this useful too, and we didn't want to limit anyone's access so we made it free. We also wanted parents to have all the necessary information at their disposal, within a click or two. We knew that to realize this dream, we could not limit the content by charging businesses to list with us, or to link to their websites, so that is free too.
2. Tell us about your most popular feature on the site: Kids Eat Free Calendar, how does it work?
Kidwinks' Kids Eat Free Calendar allows parents to click on any day of the calendar to get a list of restaurants offering "kids eat free" or other kids' dining deals on that day. With over 200 kids' dining deals for the Chicago area, we have compiled what is easily the most comprehensive database of its kind, and in these troubled economic times, parents really appreciate this resource.
3. You also have a section for "Free Days at Area attractions"
This is another very popular feature of our site. It's helpful in planning for the upcoming weekend, or just for today, when you're kids are bored and you're not sure what to do!
We've listed local festivals, free days at area attractions, story times, nature centers and much more.
Here's how it works:
-Click on any day of the month to find family friendly events.
-Click on Monday, March 23 some of our favorites on that day:
A. $5.00 Seats - Muvico Movie Theaters
B. Stingray Feedings at Living Sea Aquarium
