Democratic State Rep. David Miller of the south suburban 29th District has a leadership role: he's chair of the House Majority Conference. He's vice chair of the House Transportation Committee, and is a member of the Elementary and Secondary Education Committee. He's been in the House since 2001.
March 22, 2009 --On this NewsViews: two state lawmakers will analyze Gov. Quinn's budget address, his tax proposals, possible increased state aid to education and mass transit. One is Republican State Sen. Dan Cronin of the west suburban 21st District. Cronin has served in both houses of the legislature. He's been in the Senate since 1993. He's minority spokesperson on the Education Committee, and is on the Joint Committee on Government Reform.
