March 23, 2009 (CHICAGO) --Chicago's top professionals in the food and beverage industry were honored on Monday with nominations for the James Beard Foundation awards.Among the 17 Chicago nominees are ABC7's Hungry Hound, Steve Dolinsky. He and his producer, Badriyyah Waheed, are up for an award in the national and local television food segment.
Other nominees include Chef Paul Kahan of Blackbird for outstanding chef. Alinea's chef Grant Achatz was nominated for his cookbook. And the new Lincoln Park restaurant L20 was nominated in the category, best new restaurant.
