2 cups flour (Maseca brand or Masa Harina)
1 cup warm water
1 cup shredded chess (Swissz, mozzarella or string chess)
Cooking spray Step 1 In a big bowl, help kids mix the flour and water. Knead well. If needed, add 1 tablespoon more at a time until the dough is most, firm and does not crack at the edges when you press down on it. Cover and set aside for 5-10 minutes.

Help kids roll the dough into a bag. Cut into 8 equal pieces.
Step 3
Roll each piece into a ball and press a hold in each ball with your thumb. Pult 1 tablespoon of the cheese into each hole.
Step 4
Fold the dough over to enclose the chess and use a rolling pin to flatten each ball into a disc about 5-6 inches wide and ¼ inch thick
Step 5
Heat an ungreased pan over high heat and cook each pupusa for 1-2 minutes on each side until lightly browned. (Parents should do this part) Put the finished pupas on a dish and cover until all done
