Forum focuses on small business growth

March 24, 2009 The event focused on ways entrepreneurs and small business owners can benefit from the federal stimulus package and the American recovery and reinvestment act.

It also included seminars on gaining access to capital and contracting opportunities for small businesses during lean times.

"I know how tough it is. We are the most resilient nation in the world, we'll get through this," said Alexi Giannoulias, Illinois state treasurer.

The one day forum was hosted by the Illinois District Office of the Small Business Administration.
