Police investigating shooting of 9-year-old

Police are searching Chicago's Little Village neighborhood for witnesses to the shooting of a 9-year-old boy.The shooting happened around 6 p.m. on Thursday near 30th and Hamlin.

Police say the boy was riding his bicycle and, as his mother and 6-year-old brother were walking behind him, he was shot in the arm.

The 9-year-old was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition. He was treated for his injury and has been released from the hospital.

Police say the shooting happened near the dividing line between the territories of two rival street gangs.
