Sunday will not be a day of rest for Chicago Mayor Richard Daley. He will break with his long standing tradition of not holding any public or political events this Sunday to participate in the International Olympic Committee's Evaluation Commission visit.

Sunday will feature a crucial component of the inspection tour as the IOC team visits proposed venues for the 2016 Summer Games.

Mayoral spokeswoman Jacquelyn Heard tells ABC 7 Mayor Daley will join IOC members on board a hybrid bus for some portions of Sunday's expected 10-hour tour. Among the expected stops: Grant Park (proposed site of celebration center, marathon start and archery, Northerly Island (rowing, sailing), Lincoln Park (tennis), Washington Park (Olympic stadium and aquatics center) and Douglas Park (BMX cycling).
