Baseball fans asked to celebrate safely

April 4, 2009 (CHICAGO) The White Sox will open at U.S. Cellular Field Monday against Kansas City. The Cubs' Wrigley Field opener will be April 13 against Colorado.

City officials are reminding residents that parking restrictions will be back in effect, as will extra police patrols to make sure the season gets off to a fun but safe start.

"I'm asking fans to drink responsibly," said Ald. James Balcer, who represents Chicago's 11th Ward.

The city is also urging fans to use public transportation to get to the ballpark.
